a strange thing happened to me this morning. i run a 3ph wood splitter off my loader control valve on my kubota b7800 with la402 loader. i have been doing this for some time now with no problems what so ever switching between the loader hoses and the wood splitter hoses. whether the tractor is running or not, i have always been able to easily disconnect/reconnect the hoses. the tractor has an open valve hydrolic system. now to my little mystery. this morning, i couldnot connect the two loader hoses after i disconnected the wood splitter hoses. usually if i have any trouble, i just put the valve in float and the hose quick connect pops on. not today. i run the splitter off the loader up/down control valves so the bucket controls stay hooked up to the valve. i just lift the loader up off the ground about 2 ft then disconnect the loader hoses and hook up the splitter hoses. yesterday i used the bucket to carry and push firewood without hooking up the loader up down hoses (i have done this before too with no problem). any way to make a long story shorter, the temps got down to about 25*f this morning and i went to work in my shed and fired up the heater and the shed probably got up to between 60*f and 70*f. i had the heater pointed towards the tractor as i was going to use it later and was just trying to make the most of the heater. my question is, could the increase in temperature cause the hydrolic fluid in the loose loader hoses to heat up and EXPAND putting more pressure in the lines to the point where i couldn't get them on, or is it more likely when i was pushing the firewood the day before that it put pressure in the loose lines making it difficult to reconnect. the problem was excess pressure in the lines, because i had to take a hammer and punch to have enough force to release some of the pressure out of the loader hoses before i could get them on. just wondering what you all think. thanks for any replys.
