WHats the quickest way in a emergency to kill a dk 45 if switch or other mechanical failure, put blockage over air breather?

PUt into high gear, low throttle, hold brakes and let off clutch has worked several times for me unintentionally. It ought to work when you want to do it too.

That would work with my old tractor but I have hydrostatic tranny on this one.I should have mentioned that, sorry.

High range at an idle, put the pedal down. Should be enough to kill er.

There should be a manual fuel shutoff on the engine block in the vicinity of the injection pump. If that doesn't work (for example if the injection pump rack is jammed) I'd pinch, crimp, or cut a fuel line. You should be able to pinch off a fuel line with a vicegrips and not do permanent damage. You might also be able to strangle it with a plastic bag over the air cleaner intake but that may damage the air cleaner housing.
