I'm wondering if psi/load relationship is "straight line"? *
This would make weighing simple. That is a nice guage, is that part of this KSR system that you have?
I notice the "zero" button and that would be the key for weighing in my thinking.

*I've noticed that loaders are sometimes rated at various stages of lift. Didn't know if this was a safety rating or a mechanical or geometric change throughout the loaders range of motion that varies.

What little I’ve done lifting pre-weighed weights that there is a relationship of 1.2-1.8#/psi for my particular loader. Every loader will be different. A curve more that linear. The lifting height not only changes mechanical advantages but also load center of gravity. It’s consistent with a pendulum lift but too variable with different objects in the grapple. The gauge measures against force not just weight.
The same gauge on the B26 might be 0.2-0.4#/psi.

The zero button will tare out the empty loader force. For now I have been doing the math. Getting more comfortable getting reset back to zero.

I was hoping for easy but surprise, surprise, surprise.

I think the point of the two accumulators is to permit damping unloaded and loaded. If you only had one setting it would be a compromise. Of course the lower setting would be bottomed out when the bucket is loaded.

Do you recall the charge pressure? One or two accumulators? Loader lift capacity?

On my KSR they were pre-charged, 280 and 560psi. 5400# loader.
On the Quicke 210psi. Tag to fit for McCormick L160 6800# loader.

See several of these parts or kits on eBay for older loader models. Probably something new buyers add but used owners rarely upgrade too. Doesn稚 take much loader work to appreciate the added benefit for a modest cost and little fabrication work.

The loader (JD 640 MSL) specs lift of 3243lbs at full height, and break out of 5204lbs

Accumulator pressure was set at 1305psi by the local JD dealer, their suggestion.

The instructions stated:
Load...................Set psi
500-1500lbs........1015
1500-2600lb........1160
2600-4000lb........1305

Only one accumulator

Kit was BW15866 Install Instructions W53647

I would think so. The KSR has two at different pre-charged pressure accumulators.

Cut the poly mounting band off the Quicke 2nd accumulator to be able to read the pre-charged pressure. Same as the other at 210psi. 0.5 liter volume each. Adds to the mystery. As far as I can tell theses are not changeable nor rechargeable.

Zebrafive that’s good information and shows the difference between loaders and suspension systems. Don’t think you can go wrong with a manufacturer designed system for a particular loader. Second best is a aftermarket system for your loader.

Fortunately the KSR system I modified to fit the M59 works wonderfully. Compared to a factory version will never know the difference as none was specifically available. The function, durability, safety, risk and liability are all on me. That makes the these discussions and sharing information important.

interesting that the settings are the same. I guess two smaller accumulators are easier to package on the machine then one big one.
