Raccoon hunters passing through

All this comes back to property rights vs hunters. I keep one thing in mind: In 26 years here, I have never had one person ask to hunt on my property. Not one. I have trees cut down, fences cut, small items stolen, trash left on my property, including one idiot who was intererrupted by my wife and our dogs while taking a crap a hundred feet from our house. There is a reason that you see "No Tresspassing" & " No Hunting" signs everywhere.

I have no tresspassing no hunting signs on my property because here in Arizona ifr you do not have signs then it is open for hunting by anyone without permission. I really don't care if neighbors or even others walk or ride on it as long as they don't deliberately tear things up.

I really have no use for coon hunters because the only ones I ever had any experience with would shake the coons out of the tree and then let 10 dogs tear the poor coon to pieces and stand there and think it was funny. I just don't call that sport or hunting.

I never have stepped foot on any of my neighbors property unless we were talking at the fence and I was invited over.

Then you are a good neighbor and I wish mine was more like you.

Not to disagree with you, but please consider that the the signs may not be for the neighbors.

...
How many of you naysayers have walked on your neighbor's property without permission thinking " well, its all right if I do it"?

There is a difference between walking on someone's land vs hunting on someone's land. In my county, hunting without permission is illegal. Walking on land that is NOT posted is perfectly legal.

I have only walked on bordering property, not posted by the way, to see what the noise was all about and to check out the land clearing the touched our land. The land in question did not have homes on it.

That is a big difference than carrying a gun on another person's land, that contains a home, at night.

Later,
Dan

Nope, I don't do it. I have a neighbor that one of the other neighbors felt it was okay to drive his tractor up his driveway and across his field to get to another property he owns for hunting. needless to say, there were some words said and now he takes the road to get to his property. Point is, he never asked or anything just assumed he could do what he wanted. But you know what they say about assuming.
