i get those calls 3-4 times a day, always with different numbers attached. i once listened all through the message, the person that answered wanted my credit card number. i made up a number. he wanted to verify it and i told him to go to he%$ and remove my name. he cussed me out and hung up. I still get calls daily. theres no way around them.
you cant block them cause they change their numbers.
I try to have fun with those calls. When they say they can give me a better rate, I ask them what my current rate is and how much they will save me. When they stumble/stammer, I just say, "Don't call me back until you know what you are talking about." It's my phone. When you call me, I am in control and let them know in a hurry. I love to interrupt telemarketers and ask them to repeat something. Then, I ask how their kids are doing and what the weather is like and if they've had any luck fishin' or some such silly stuff. I just try to waste as much of their time as possible unless I'm in a hurry. If I'm in a hurry, I ask them for their "access code" and then hang up when they don't have one.
jinman the problem is that its a recording. And then you push a button and get a person who is good at deciding if your a buyer or not. and they arent polite at all.
Then you cant do anything ,because the number isnt a working number.
These are far different than playing with your normal telemarketers...They are the bottom of the barrel leaches.
