You are correct, two of the radiators are oil coolers. For reference, I live in Southern Illinois. I don't think this is a European issue.

There are three radiators... engine coolant, oil cooler and fuel cooler.

The current 2038r is a brand new tractor. It was re-designed from the ground up and is very different from previous versions. That could also explain why the parts catalog is not yet complete. It's technically a larger frame tractor than it used to be, based on the 3e chassis but with 2r series features. I bet as some time goes by the p/c will get updated, but wouldn't imagine that it would be terribly difficult to design something.

I've done quite a bit of parts research on the new 2032R/2038R. The on-line parts illustrations are complete.

Thanks for correcting me re: the radiators & their exact purpose. I did not realize one was a fuel cooler but I will take your word for that.

It is clearly marked as such in the parts illustrations. The fuel cooler is something new on the 2-series as previous models did not have it.

As you know, on these small common rail diesels the fuel is constantly being circulated from the tank through the system and back to the tank. As a result the fuel heats up. Apparently keeping the fuel cool enhances fuel injector pump life and the cool fuel also provides higher performance. Do a google search on diesel fuel coolers and you will find tons of info.

JD eliminated the radiator screens on the Gen-2 2-series.

I just bought a 2032r wish they still had the screen. on my old tractors i made a screen thats easy to clear to prevent radiator from clogging up.

Wonder if my 2019 2032R which is supposed to be the same as the 2038r except for the turbo has three also? Two weeks yet till delivery
