radiator leaks into oil

You have a cracked head, crack block or a head gasket leak for sure . Hope for the head gasket leak !

Bluechip, took a look at this tractor and found another freeze plug on the inside of the engine that had come out.

YEp, screwed up a good sale on a brand new engine! Just kidding, glad it came out to be so much less than expected.
There are three freeze plugs under the tappet cover plates, inside the engine. Now we know, these three freeze plugs saved this engine.

sorry if im seen to hijack this thread, but i dont want to start a new one for a simple question
how does one know if their engine is dead after having it freeze up. so far, water in oil, oil in water, loss of water
anything else, what about the head gasket (water in the cylinders? how do you tell?)

I stand corrected . I did not know they had freeze plugs located on the inside of the engine block . Thanks for sharing this information . As a old dog ,I guess I did learn a new trick today !

That's great. I was just thinking, it had to be a bigger opening than a crack or blown head gasket would be. Where in the engine was the third plug located?
