Another couple of nice shots from Monday March 25th as a southbound CN train rolls down Steelton Hill as moderate snow falls. Duluth, MN. Grain hopper train and pellet trains.

Wind turbine blades passing through Colorado. This is just the tail end of long string parked at the BNSF yards. The blades are so long they require double length articulated rail cars to negotiate curves.

I don’t know if it’s ok to take a quick break from copying/pasting railroad pictures, but a SEPTA subcontractor arrived today and tore out 940’ of rails and the ties underneath.

You can see the old steel & stone pier bridge way back there.

The guys on the range in MN are pretty excited about these new cars showing up there so photos of them are be posted lots. This is a good one --------------- ----------

Vapor rises from fresh and hot taconite pellets at CN Dock 6 this morning. The moonrise was a nice bonus. Duluth, MN - April 5, 2024
