Wish i could send some of this rain we're getting to all of you experiencing drought. Today makes rain 5 out of the last 6 days and today was a real frog strangler. By the way i'm in south louisiana in bayou country.

Yes, I wish you could send some our way, too. Grass is turning brown, lakes and ponds shrinking.

We here in the PNW would love to share our precipitation bounty, too. We're practically halfway through the summer, and it's been raining and/or cloudy almost every day.
Not that I'm complaining one bit, as I am very aware of our good fortune.
It is just awful to see the updated Drought Monitor every week and not yet see any improvement in the national map, only expanding areas of the brown color Bird mentioned.
