I was able to get some of the trim I was waiting for. The entire roof is now done, that's a good feeling since winter is just around the corner. This picture is looking out my living room window. Note the hint of white up in the mountains. Yes, it's snow!!

You've done an incredible job adding beauty and function to a beautiful setting. I know you'll enjoy it as winter moves in. Thanks for posting your project.

Thanks Eddie,
I think when I get around to removing the fence on the south end of the barn (right side) it will look even cleaner. Not sure if I'll get there this year.

Here is another update on the barn build. As you can see from this picture getting done is a priority.20151110_072044.jpg

I am still struggling with the metal supplier, I have had one problem after another getting the right stuff. (pieces we order and confirm in person) When it shows up or I go to pick it up, it is not correct. I have two corner pieces left and I am done. I hope they show up early next week so I can get my work done. Here are a couple more pictures.

So the pictures without the tractor show the north end which is done. The picture with the tractor is where I still need the corner pieces for the door area. I have the doors ordered they will be roll up garage style and be dark brown to match the trim. Two to three weeks for the doors. I am happy to be getting done, it's been a long haul. The metal supplier delayed this whole thing by at least 4-5 weeks. Any how I think it looks good and will serve me well the rest of my life.
When I get the doors installed I will post some pictures.
Thank you all for your interest.

Building looks great!!!

I think this is a common thing with the metal building suppliers. I've read a lot of complains when it comes to "following up" with customers on fit issues. I just helped a friend with a 20x40 building and it was like pulling teeth getting some corner trim replaced. The corner trim didn't fit over the rib, it ended up sitting on it. He had to special order wider corners and it took 4 1/2 weeks to show up.

Thanks BBtoys,

I guess I would be more understanding if my corners where special order type/size. They are just standard everyday corners 12' long. Somehow they were able to get the other 6 corners done OK.
O well, enough complaining I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I finally got the last pieces of trim and have them installed.
That is one big headache out of the way. I am now waiting for the doors that will show up in the next week or two.

It's always a good thing to give your own handy work a test.
We had almost a foot of fairly heavy snow a few days ago and my barn is still standing.:)
The snow fell off in one big avalanche front and back within a day of snowing.
Doors are being installed Monday----can hardly wait. I'll post some pictures when they are done.
