Raising a barn

I have finished the concrete work around the perimeter of my barn. It is sloped under the doors out of the barn. I'll give the concrete a couple weeks to harden before I move fill in to finish the dirt area in the middle.

I don't understand. Are you going to leave the middle area dirt?

Yes Eddie,
I will grade it smooth and put in some road base. I don't want to be sweeping concrete all the time.

So I finally got around to putting up the gates on both sides of the barn.

I plan on getting the ground inside leveled out this weekend so I can get the gravel/road base in and compacted.
As you can see from the pictures the oats are coming up good. Supposed to rain a couple days this week which will really help out.

Such a difference from snow to green!!!! Hope your hay pasture is doing good.

Thanks Eddie, the pasture is doing really good. But, it really needs some rain to continue doing well.

Weather man is saying we could have snow down to the bench level by Friday. ( small hill behind me ) I might see snow/sleet mix but I'll take anything I can get.
