So.... you're towing 5,000# plus with a solid built intermediate (here) sedan, and still getting way better mileage than a gasoline mini-van hauling empty/no trailer.
Seems like a much better way to utilize a barrel of crude. UNcommon sense does not apply, this side of the pond.

This is true but he is paying more than double for a gallon of diesel compared to a gallon in the US. Yes, less crude, but the same operating cost to the end user. You didn't think there was a free lunch did you?
