Actually, I am quite statisfied with my L3130 so far. In my response to Ramon I mentioned that I had no problems resembling his at all.

I have mentioned that I thought the breakout on the loader was a little weak, but that was more an acknowledgement of the limitations of the loader than a tractor complaint. Lets see, also I had trouble keeping air in the front tires and once the loader seemed to raise very slowly. I was opeating it past dark, and have concluded that it was just because I let the rpms get too low (I couldn't see the display).

Re: Ramon49\'s post about his L3130!

I had gotten tired of this discussion so was not reading all of the posts. Just wanted to say that I am very satisfied with my L3130HST. I have my R4s filled to counter balance the tree shear and it does well in my sandy place. Sure I would like more HP but wasn't prepared to pay for it. I usually run about 1800 rpm in mid range and it gets me everywhere I want to go and if I went too fast it would jar my teeth out. I never look at the mph reading, simply move as fast as I am comfortable with.

When I need the full power I simply set the rpm's at 24-2500 and It has done everything I have asked of it. The only reason I don't operate at that level all the time is that I need to wear hearing protection then.

This discussion strikes me as the result of someone being on the losing side of an "my (whatever) is bigger, faster, stronger, etc.... than yours" arguement.

Re: Ramon49\'s post about his L3130!

Add me to the list of happy 3130HST owners. I have a BH90, LA723, and R4 loaded tires. It does everything I have expected of it. I had a Case 680 before so I have an idea of what a bigger machine has for power. The 3130 is about 1/3 the weight and about 1/3 the HP hmmmm. I was always led to believe it was the torque that did the work.Just my 2 cents.

Oops, I must have missed this original post by rat or I would have replied sooner...
I am a satisfied owner of an L3130, too. I did not mean to imply that I was dissatisfied because I was surprised that the tractor won't go up a slight road grade in high range with the HST pedal depressed fully and my own dealer called it underpowered for its size. Just stating the facts. I do believe it's a lot of tractor for the engine, there, now doesn't that sound nicer? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Sort of like buying a Ford F350 Super Duty with a 6 cyl engine /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I stated in one of these monster threads, that knowing its limitations and adjusting your operation accordingly was all it takes, but isn't it like that with anything?

Now move me over into the "like" column /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
