Ramps...

If there isn't any slipping and as the back ramps are quite a bit longer, try walking the rear end up those ramps until it is on the flat, then put the front ramps in front of the front wheels. Then drive ahead until front is on. That should be a lot easier that modifying the ramps and you are only raising half the tractor at a time. Unless you tried that already?

What you call "ramps" look more like wheel chocks. Your tires would get more purchase if you built up the ramp in layers, say with three 2x10s of decreasing length nailed or glued together like this (side view):

try putting a 2X10 in front of the ramps so you can take the hight in two steps. <snip>

Or even better, separate the steps an additional foot or so, so you climb up onto the flat with the front tires before the rears even get to their ramp. Much less work on the drivetrain and engine.

So it's not my tractor's fault? No tractor will climb 40 degrees on all wheels at once? Would a manual climb it?

I wouldn't even try climbing a 40 [deg] slope with a CUT. Too much pucker for my taste.
My gutt feel is that this is different than driving up a continuous 40 [deg[ slope.
It's like trying to lift the tractor vertically thru the wheels - sorry - not explaing how the gutt feels very well.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I never heard of a tractor that would not climb over what is essentially a curb. That would be like not rolling over a small log in the woods I would think.

Well, I love the tractor so far. I have 22 hours on it. I decided I'd build dollies for my snowblower and loader to make changing out easier. I quickly discovered while taking the loader off and putting the snowblower on that the tractor and attachments want to be at the same height( i dont think anyone has said that before...haha) That's easy, I'll just build some ramps for the tractor to meet the height of the dolly right? The tractor won't drive up on to the ramps! I just couldn't of imagined that. I'm so wet behind the ears with tractors I figured I'd throw it on to see what you guys think. Do I need to decrease my ramp angle? Thanks. Newbie Aaron

When you say would not climb up...are the wheels spinning? Or are they not?
