To me Prime Video is the draw, the free shipping is a perk.
I should look into Prime Video. Not sure if it is more like Netflix (more movie oriented) or more like YoutubeTV (more channel oriented), both of which we pay for. YoutubeTV has Fox News so that keeps me on it.

Prime Video is pretty much like Netflix. I have had both. I like ease of signing up for other channels within Prime and not have to create separate accounts with each. Sometimes for only a month. I’m not familiar with YouTube’s offerings. $120/year I believe.

No shipping rants from me since I last said I had no shipping rants. All things considered, I am impressed with buying on line at Amazon and getting free delivery. I do not pay for Amazon prime, I just wait the 5 days or so and get free shipping.
DITTO!

I ordered a new power supply and M.2 SSD from Amazon around midnight last night, and it was delivered this evening at 8:00PM.

We ordered a ShelterLogic 10x10x8' Greenhouse this morning and it shipped this afternoon. It won't be here until next week but that's not bad.

Looks good, but kinda small, and wonder about the snow load durability.
I have a much larger "hoop house" that is double layer, with low air pressure between layers.

A double layer inflated hoop house sheds snow perfectly!
VERY stable in wind too!
Hoops should be excellent for Alaska!

Small is fine. All we really want it for is for small cherry tomatoes that have some flavor. So disappointed in store-bought produce. My large ShelterLogics shed snow very well.

Just waiting until the drones start dropping them out of the sky!

Store bought tomatoes are just as disappointing in FL. too!
"Campari" greenhouse grown (Canada) seem to be the best greenhouse type on the market.
They are about 2 or 3 times size of traditional cherry variety.

The last time we grew tomatoes, we froze them solid on cookie sheets and then vacuum sealed them. For cooking and use in stews and spaghetti sauce they were still flavorful and beautifully red. Lasted 10 years!

Very interesting!
Never have heard of that.

I can't imagine tomatoes lasting for ten years in my house. 🍅
These days, we vacuum seal a lot more of everything. Food lasts so much longer and stays much fresher. We even gave up the "Blanching" process as we can't tell any difference. Saves a lot of time and effort.

We use vacuum sealing all the time.
We often buy a whole $5 Perdue cooked chicken at BJ's (similar to COSTCO), split, and immediately seal/freeze half.
Just two of us old folks.

Cherry tomatoes really pack in the flavor! Yum! Pictures of Alaskan tomatoes when you get them please. (y)

The flavor has been bred out of commercial tomatoes. Now it’s all about uniformity of size, color, and pest resistance. And they must hold up to shipping which is why many are picked when mature but still green.
