Just wanted to say, I called their 800 number to make sure i got the correct model, and they were super friendly and helpful. I mention TBN and they were familiar with the goings on here.

This afternoon I drove to an out of town TSC to get one. My local TSC didn't have any of them in stock for whatever reason. The bottom line is, get one. If you have any need for this, and I've never seen a place that didn't have brush to clear out, get it. Dollar for dollar, it's my best purchase ever for the tractor, even over the box blade.

Hey guys. Just picked up a 72in one at TSC in Dickson TN. I have Bobcat 743 with 60in 4 N 1 bucket. Going to drop it off at my wielder to trim some off the sides and fab to bolt on the bucket. So I can work the bucket and use the rake to finish the surface. And WILL post pics when all done. I bought the large one because it is heavier.

Have a nice day,

Sam French

Picked up the 52" one this evening. Even had a 10% off coupon I just got in an email.
Will put it to a good test tomorrow, 5 mins of playing with it this evening looked promising.

Had the same experiemce calling the store to confirm they had one..they had no clue, had to describe it to them so they could find it:laughing:

One tip for the manufacturer if they read this- when crimping the end loops on the steel cables try to keep the bitter end inside the crimp...OUCH. The individual strands in the cable that stick out 1/8 inch make excellent -stab ya- needles:(

Amen to the crimp area, I have bled twice from this.

I believe the official term for those stray wires in cable is "meat hooks".

Just picked up a 52" RR at the local TSC. I have to confess that, after reading this forum, I didn't bother asking for help but rather just went outside with a cart to get it myself - heavy little bugger for the size. No problem with them finding the hardware box in the back, however - perhaps I was unduly pessimistic.

I couldn't wait to give it a try so I fetched the tractor when we got home and only spent a couple of minutes getting it installed. The bitter end of the cables are still exposed and still thirsty for blood - lost a bit myself even after reading the warnings here...wear gloves!

Anyway, I went out back to where the brush is waiting and gave it a try. Seems to work well, cleared a fair bit of generally nasty viney stuff in pretty short order but I still figure I can refine the technique. I was a also pleasantly surprised when it turned out that the trees that are holding up the rest of the brush are nicely brittle - I was able to snap off and drag out branches etc up to about 3" in diameter with a bit of worrying at them. I basically went in low and then lifted the FEL until stuff broke off, backed out dragging it high, then cleared the rake and went in high, crushed it down, and backed out dragging it low.

Anybody know a better technique? I know the exact stuff you're tearing out determines the technique but, any tips?

Thanks. I'll post again if there's interest in the further adventures as I figure out a better technique.
