Can you guys give me a general idea what the going rate for moving equipment is. What I actually need to move is a car about 150 miles from Mass to just over the New York line. What would be a typical rate to do this?

Thanks!!! I assume you mean a "loaded" mile.

That is just about what I quoted and the guy was amazed at how high I was. So I just did some simple math around fuel cost / mileage and felt like I was about right.....

Yeah, pretty much. Ended up telling him off. The guy was a real pain in the #$%. Sold the vehicle to someone else. problem solved!

Most of the time, yes but for some people [sounds like the one you were dealing with] and depending on what I hauling they would get charged both ways. CJ
