I just converted my BX2680 lawn mower to do battle with the elements this winter.

Can't wait to try out the new chains, weights, and plow.

Smart doing it now when the temp is nice to work in. I usually am doing it the night of the first storm when it is below freezing! How much snow do you get in a typical season? I know some places around Buffalo get crazy amounts!

I wish we would get some "crazy amounts" as it has been slim pick'ins the last few years.

And when we do it is in what APRIL! that last one was the worst!
Yes, mid winter is normally too cold for good snows unless it warms some. They say we will be a bit warmer this winter....SNOW?

Ooooh... Buffalo, New York. It took me a while to figure out what the OP was referring to.

Various images/scenarios were coming to mind... :scratchchin:

Can’t lose with them chains!

Do you remember the time Buffalo got 7 FEET of snow? And at the same time not even one snowflake here in Toronto, just in the North side of Lake Ontario. (On a clear day, you can actually see Buffalo from the CN tower in Toronto.) Weird.

Here on the south shore of Lake Superior, we've had pretty good snow over the past 20 years. Last winter we had just over 300 which is above average. The difference with this warming weather is more warm spells over the course of winter.
