Man I like the looks of your set up!! Is that grill guard and frame standard on the B7610?? Also, is that a different blower subframe than the one on the BX??

I bet that baby really throws the snow /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif How many HP is your tractor??

The grill guard is an integral part of the loader set up. You'll notice that the loader mounts "wrap around" the tractor, with the grill guard joining the whole apparatus at the front. The subframe on the B is different than the BX, in that it mounts not only at the front of the frame, but also at the middle of the tractor. Once it's hooked up, it functions exactly as the BX subframe. Here is a photo of the subrame and blower before I hooked it to the tractor.

The B7610 is 24HP, about the same as the BX2200. My BX would run the blower REAL good. Considering how back breaking it can be to shovel snow, it's amazing how effortlessly it would chuck a foot of wet stuff half way across the yard.

I told my wife I was looking forward to a real lake effect blizzard this year. I'm talking about a good old fashioned Michigan white out, with 12" overnight and 10 more on the way. Yee ha!

That's a nice rig U have there. My rig is similar.

I had to remove the wire chute guard when working with really heavy slush, due to clogging. Also, the pin holding the chute crank rod together was changed to a thick bolt. I felt the joint for that chute rod was too sloppy.

My last modification was to the nylon journal bearing at the worm gear. When the unit was assembled at the factory, the nylon got scraped real badly. The nylon rolled up between the bearing surfaces. It produced a ton of friction such that I couldn't turn the crank for the chute without using both hands. I took the bearing out and polished it with 220 grit emry paper and now it'll turn almost without effort!

I'm jealous. All I have is the FEL and 6' blade for snow removal...

For those considering cabs, here's an idea. Looks like many of you are near the great lakes (and Finger lakes). Check with the local marinas. Most have a guy come weekly or so to make convertable tops for the boats. The rig to make it is normally a pickup with a trailer. I've talked to some who said no problem bringing the rig to your house to make one for a tractor.
For those away from water, some RV places have the same service.
