I wouldn't have been so lenient with the guy. It seemed to me that the thief tried to deny and hide everything until the police decided to get a search warrant. That was the point he knew he was caught and wasn't going to get away with it. Only then does he start coming clean, but still blames it on taking a pain pill with a couple beers.

Reminds me of a politician, keep lying until you're flat out busted, then blame it on a "condition".

Part of me thinks he really should have pressed charges, but the guy would not do any time. Within 3 years, this guy will steal again.
I agree..I would have pressed charges- and I bet this is not the first time he stole. I worked for a man that said, "thieves never get smaller, they only get bigger until they are caught".

In Montana we take them into the woods, tied up in duct tape and roll'em in huck preserves........the big brown fuzzy things will take care of'em.

He makes PLENTY of coin from youtube... he's a shocker; one that takes a brand new vehicle and destroys it for "likes" and "views". Been watching him for a while....

As for sending him to "jail", that would just cause him to take revenge later on... right now the neighbor "owes" him to be good.
i couldn’t stand when he destroyed that mint red toyota, i stop watching him when i saw that it was the end for me that was too much if i would’ve been that old man i would’ve refuse to sell it.. call me crazy

I found a friend's ATV, 20 years after it was stolen. It was in pieces on our managed land, about 300 yards behind the used parts shop where he always thought it had ended up. Of course the statutes had run out, but now the owner knows for sure that his "friend" is a thief.

Oh yeah, our IFW has a cleanup day every year and I told the district game warden that I wanted it gone.
So now all of the local LEOs also know that he's a thief.

I wasn't that thrilled with the dude's drama during the initial post, although I sympathized with his plight. But he's a drama queen and more concerned with "likes" and the resultant income than providing actual meaningful content.
