Realistically, how many hours can I get out of a BX1500?

You guys need to help save the planet! Empty out your old pre-industrial air filled tires and fill them up with compressed CO2! If everyone did this it would really make a difference (at least to the people selling compressed CO2.)

It you maintain the engine with regular maintenance, it will last many many years. I would expect 20 years if not an issue. Ive seen 40 year ole tractors that are still going strong. Im not well maintained and at 42 Im still going.

I bought my BX1500 new in May 2004. It now has 491 hours on it. This little beast hasn't whimpered once. Realistically, this is probably the last tractor I will ever HAVE to buy (borrowed from prior thread).

I've heard more than one person say the BX1500 is one of Kubotas better models, historically speaking. Now that they've been around for a little while a few of them are starting to rack up some hours. My guess is that we'd have heard by now if they weren't going to last long. So a comparison to other small reliable diesels and hydros is probably fair. That said, it ought to do 3000 hrs easy but could go 2X or even 3X that if all the stars are aligned.
