Looked at the yanmar again today, fenders are plastic not too sturdy, also there is only a single brake pedal above the drive pedals? So no steering with the brakes on these, NO rear diff lock(I'd assume this is important) I'm gonna be plowing and dragging logs and trees. also there is not a replaceable cutting edge on the bucket. A few things I dont like about it....

Plastic wont rust. I dont think ive ever seen a replaceable bucket cutting edge but im no veteran. Are these hst or gear? I wouldnt think you would need brake steering on a tractor this size or hst. Again im no expert

Hst, I Agree I think most smaller tractors don't have a bolt on cutting edge. No rear diff lock though, it seems like when you spin the tires on these things only one front and one rear tire spins, that's sucks. I want 4 Wheel drive not 2 lol! So maybe the diff lock is a big deal, I also am throwing the kubota b2620 in the ring now for choices! The yanmar seems a little more basic and not quite as refined. alltherage have you liked your yanmar so far, any problems or complaints?

Plastic wont rust but it sure does shatter when it gets hit with something during the cold winter. My Friend is currently in the market for a new Hood for his JD as he found out the hard way why I don't ever want an other plastic hood!

Each to his own, but I would not be happy without the differential lock and the independent wheel brakes.

With the sx3100 being the twin to the jd2720 i'll tell you what i think. As far as the split brakes, I have never used it in the 2 years i have owned the unit. To be honest with it being HST i don't really ever use the brakes. I do have the rear diff lock, Have only used it a hand full of times in deep snow pulling the rear blade. I like it but half the time i don't even think of using it. My fenders are steel, could care less about that one or the other is fine for me. No problems of any kind in 125hrs/2 years of use. I wish the MMM was independent of the 3pt hitch. If your not getting the MMM no problem for you. If you have any questions please ask i'll tell you what i think or know about my unit. I would buy another no questions asked. Enjoy your search!!! I almost forgot i wish it had a 3 range HST. High is good for mowing or basic travel thats about it. Low is really slow but alot of power. With 32hp to me its like putting a big block in a chevy S10 pickup. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks builderml! Well my choices have changed since I posted on here....
It now between a jd 2520 or a kubota b2620. I found out they got rid of that horrible single HST pedal!
I can get a 2014 kubota b2620 w/loader with 15 hrs for $12,900
Or the 2013 jd 2520 new w/loader and box blade for $16,300

That's a good deal you got there. Nice tractor that should serve you well for a long time. Orange is good. Be safe.

Oh, and pics are required upon delivery of the tractor. ;)
