When bought at the right price and older implements usually you will get your money back out of them or might be $50-75 off just to get it gone. Like Carey and his tiller. I bet he could of got $50 more if he wanted to sit on it a week or more. But for his use that he used it for thats not really a loss to take $75 less

I think you guys need to stop thinking about snow and concentrate on the nice weather ahead!
Myself on the other hand needs to concentrate on preparing to keep cool as the furnace of the sun weather will eventually be here in AZ

I know what your saying but most of the time that's just not true. You buy implements on the off season and then you get the really good deals. And with a the blade he can or like most of us will find things to do with it and just use it. He can even make use of the off season and make it all pretty..;)

Also I got a coupon for TSC for 15% of any single purchase, so the 6ft blade they have would cost $271 before tax. That's not to bad of a deal.

I think thats an excellent deal for a new blade. I might have to see if I have that coupon from TSC stashed away. Could use a good rake for my impending gravel delivery.

I thinks it's a good deal too, but so is the 5ft at $150. But I was just thinking, I wonder if I could spin the 6ft in a complete 360 while it's on my tractor?? If not then maybe I won't get it. Not that I need that option but it might come in handy. I need to measure when I get home.

5' blade is too narrow for a 54" tractor. Really need a 6' blade. Trying to clear snow with a 5' blade on a 54" wide tractor is not going to be productive. You need to be able to windrow the snow well off to the side of the tractor.

I know deals are appealing, but I am amazed at the number of threads where the focus is whether a "cheap deal" implement will work. A lot of people shoehorn the wrong implement onto their tractor just because they found a deal. Why not just look for the "right" implement? Function should be the primary factor, cost is secondary. To me $150 for the wrong blade is $150 that could have gone towards the right blade.
