Can anyone recommend any rear blades that can be purchased with optional hydraulic 3-way adjustments that are appropriately sized for a large frame CUT (45 HP engine, 38 HP PTO)?

I'm looking for a blade with the following specifications: CAT 1, 8' moldboard, hydraulic offset, hydraulic angle, hydraulic tilt, optional hydraulic gauge wheel, optional skid shoes, and optional end plates.

My research has found the Rhino 950 and Land Pride RBT40. The Rhino 950 meets all my requirements, but is an expensive ($3,000+) and heavy duty model weighing in at a little over 1,000 lbs. The RBT40 meets all my requirements except that there is no gauge wheel option (a glaring omission on Land Prides part!).

Sounds to me like you want it all, and only one company finds enough customers to supply it. I'd imagine you could get away without the tilt feature on the blade if you have a tnt set up on the tractor. The hydraulic top link would also eliminate the need for a hydraulic pitch control on the implement. As for the need for hydraulic adjustment on the gauge wheels I'd surmise that would cost more than it is worth. But I don't really know what you're going to use it for.

Yep, I do want it all! :D

Been doing it with a manual 3-way blade for 30+ years. It's way past time to upgrade...

I also plan to have T&T on my next tractor. As you said, the top of the T&T will give me pitch control of the blade (as far as I know, no blade has any kind of pitch adjustment other than using the top link of the 3PH). The tilt off the T&T can also give me subtle tilt control of the blade. That still leaves hydraulic offset and angle, as well as the hydraulic gauge wheel.

I have found a couple medium duty blades that do offer hydraulic offset with manual angle and tilt (Rhino 550, LandPride RB35). This is close, but I'd much rather have hydraulic angling if there is only one hydraulic adjustment.

So, I'm back to looking for a medium duty CAT I hydraulic 3-way blade which, given a T&T, I'd configure with manual tilt for gross tilt adjustments.

As for the gauge wheel, have you ever tried to remove whoop-de-doos from a gravel drive with a rear blade? I have. I've gotten reasonably good at it over the years. But, until a few years ago, I was unaware that there was such a thing as a gauge wheel available for a rear blade. This turns a normal tractor and rear blade into a reasonable approximation of a road grader for leveling purposes.

Take note of the HP ratings on the Woods blades. I pull a 9 foot blade that I built with 70 HP and don't have any too much power when moving large amounts of dirt. Good Luck. Don

Here is another suggestion that may be viable if you have some fabricating skills.

Buy the best blade you can that has all the functions operated manually. Fab up some brackets and add your own cylinders. This would probably cost way less than one that comes with all the functions hydraulically operated.

But a good local mobile welding guy should be able to help you out for a very reasonable price. I'd love to get a welding setup and learn how to do it, but for now, I have a guy that I use that's been great, and doesn't ream me every time I need a small welding job done. As long as I can give him a few days notice, he stops in as he's passing by on his way to or from a bigger job.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a Woods 7 ft rear blade and then put one hydraulic cylinder on it so I could angle one way. I only have one set of rear remotes so that's the reason for the one cylinder, I can't see how the brackets for the cylinder would be a big deal. My tractor is also 45/38 hp. My grapple cylinder is just sitting in the basement so maybe I could put it to good use during the winter months.

You need the RBT 45 it has hydraulic gauge wheels. Just change the pins to cat.1 and sleve the top link if your tractor is cat 1.

Land Pride’s 45 Series 3-Way Hydraulic Rear Blade is built tough from the ground up for applications ranging from landscaping, construction, snow removal, feedlot cleaning and all-around farm use. By using hydraulics at all three positions, time can be utilized efficiently by making changes on the go. Available options include single or double hydraulic gauge wheels, side plates for holding dirt in and skid shoes for blade protection.
