So now that I am awaiting delivery of my Meteor 68' Rear Pull, I am comparing the specs to my current Meteor 60" 3pt Snowblower. First in general:
Meteor ..................60" Meteor ..................68" Rear Pull
Width..................60" (70" with wings) ..........68"
Weight ....................391 lbs ......................671 lbs
Fan Diam .................21"............................. 21"
Fan Depth .................5"............................... 7"
# Fan Blades ............ 4 ................................5
Chute Diam ...............8 ...............................10"
I hope to see improved performance with a deeper fan housing, an extra fan blade and a bigger discharge chute. We'll see!
- I will be happy not to be looking backwards ALL the time
- Less concern about where the snowblower is tracking next to obstacles
- Things just seem to go better being pulled instead of pushed (like a rear blade or back dragging a bucket)
- Getting up close to garage doors etc.
