It looks like a defect which can happen to any brand

Given the choice I’d rather the blade be the weak link in the system and fail before doing damage to the tractor.

The weld had very minimal penetration, maybe 1/32" all along the toe of the full length. I am surprised it didn't break when they loaded it on the truck. I think I would reweld any of those same welds on the new blade before using it very much. Much easier to repair the welds before they break than afterwards. I would grind in at the bottom edges to look for similar issues of none fusion, grind to solid metal then reweld.
Those welds are typical of MIG/FCAW welds from an inexperienced welder or crappy welding machine or maybe both. They look good on the surface but have absolutely no fusion to the base metals of either side, hence the flat rusting spot where water collected under the non-fused weld metal.

As long as it basically looks like every other blade, and has a nice shiny paint job, that is often all that matters nowadays. Heck, many are probably bought sight unseen. If I was buying a new blade these days, I would probably look at shipping weight as a consideration in comparison.

I personally would go to Everythingattachments and know I was getting good quality, American made.

Brand new plow blade 30 minutes ago. Anybody else have trouble with this brand Agri Ease.

Apparently I hit a rock or something. Did not even feel it in the new cab tractor.

That wasn't even welded from what I can see, just a bead laying on top. Definite warranty issue if still in warranty. I had an argument over one like that but told them "see that rust where the weld should be" I won.
