rear remotes

Could it be a draft control lever being confused with the rear remote lever?

On my rig I have the 3ph position control lever and a 3ph draft control lever side by side. They of course do not snap to center, they stay put wherever they are moved to.

In addition, I have (among other things) two levers for two rear remotes. Those are the ones that snap back to center and have detents at the full forward position.

. Being that your tractor has an open center hydraulic system, the handle will always return to the center of the lever's position and hold the last directed pressure that you have applied.
In the case of a log splitter which has it's own forward/back lever, you do need to tie/bungee the tractor's "REMOTE" lever open in order for the log splitter to function. It's o.k. to do so. Many cords of stove wood split this way by my NH TC40.

Why do you think just because the system is an open center, that all levers return to center. A three position detent, will keep the lever in the set position. The detent does serve a purpose. On some valves you can add detents.

It was just a sticky lever, sprayed up the linkage good with wd-40 and worked it back and forth about 50 times and now it spring back to center like the other!
