Rear tire is flat! NH TD5050 rear tire torque value?

Can't find the front and rear tire bolt torque rating anywhere in the operators manual. Front tire is 14.9x24, 24 mm bolt. Rear tire is 18.6x34, bolt is 27mm. Tractor is a NH TD5050 rated at 95 HP. Anyone have any info on this guy?

Hey guys - I found this chart below. I am on the right track? A 24mm is M24 and 27mm bolt is M27. Now depending on the class of bolt 4.8, 8.8, 10.9 or 12.9 I can determine the torque value?

Is that the size socket you used to remove the bolts by chance? 24 & a 27mm?
24mm across the flats of the bolt is probably a 14mm x 2 bolt and 27mm across the flats is probably a 16mm x 2 tp bolt.
Safe thing to do is measure the diameter at the body of the bolt and then use your torque chart.

Thanks oldtink - yes it took a 24 & 27mm socket to remove the lug bolts and take the tire off. I got the tire patched, it cost $45 and took him about 30 mins. Wow that's a process to remove the tire from the rim - I don't think I ever want to do that, well worth the 45 to let him do it. I was informed for about $100 they will come to you, that would be nice not having to lug that huge tire around. I called several dealers. One gave me an answer - 600ftlb - but that sounded high. 1 said I had to come to them and read it out of the book - no answers over the phone and 2 more didn't call back. I believe the shop manual is $300 and I can't find it in the operators manual.

So Ebay is your friend when is comes to old operators manual/repair manuals. I found the operators manual for $40 & repair manual $99 on CD. That beats the dealers price and you would get it quick. I paid a dealer $28 and they printed and mailed it to me but its a huge note book printed and I think I would rather have the original bound version for $40. Also it didn't have torque values. I still don't have the answer to my torque question but I am getting close to an official answer. I found another metric torque chart in ft-lbs and it's similar to the first one. It's starting to look like the amount of force needed to torque is way more than my 1/2 torque wrench can produce 250 vs 600+. So I torque my rear tires to 220ft-lbs.

Question: utility tractor users - do you guy care about the torque value of your tires or do you just impact it on and called it good?

I just use a snipe on a ratchet or power bar and tighten them evenly and pretty darn tight.

Unless you are highly skilled with an impact wrench you have no idea how tight they are when you are done. A big impact will tighten things unnecessarily tight.

Torque can be misleading for tightening bolts. It depends on lubrication of bolt,cleanliness of threads, are threads all undamaged. Research turn of the nut for tension on the bolt

I guess, if he's not able to determine the size of the bolt and thread pitch there isn't much sense in worrying about a torque value and a ratchet and bar works......darn tight or **** tight if it's a shorter bar:drink:
