Save yourself some grief, I have had a hard wired cab cam for 8 years and it worked very well.
I have to replace the rear camera on my system. It would have lasted much longer but the road salt ruined it.

If you purchase the wireless camera system and monitor from cabcam they are much less work and you only need to replace a battery in the camera when the signals get weak. It will come in handy if you have a trailer that you tow with your mule as you can line the hitch and receiver up much easier by mounting a camera on a magnet that is attached to the trailer. After you get hooked up you can simply remove the camera from the trailer and put it in a safe spot to store it until you need it again.

I appreciate the suggestion leonz, this system looks absolutely wonderful and would be great to have. But it appears that your budget constraints are quite different than mine.

The camera's field of view hasn't been mentioned in this thread.

Backup cameras have a wide field of view, not good for seeing detail up close.

My rear camera is 130° and the front is 50°.

Well I suggest U look at off shore suppliers and for sure you'll find suitable systems in the $50- $100 range.
Mine (4 years now) was in the $50 (Cdn) and flawless INMHO. ) OK. delivery was in the 30 day range, but I'm patient. (AKA I plan ahead)
