Standard 55 gallon drum dimensions are I.D. 23.375" by 36"
The radius of that is 11.68. Radius squared is 136.42
3.1417 x 136.42" x 36" (depth) is 15429.26"

Divide that by 1728(Cubic inches in a cubic foot) and you get
8.92 cubic feet

At 145lbs per cubic foot, that yields 1293lbs

It can't be any heavier than the original dry mix plus the water. The amount of added water is not that much (maybe 4 lbs) and a lot of it is not consumed in the reaction and just drys out, so its close enough (for this purpose) to just use the original mix weight.

10x 80-lb bags would be about 800 lbs.

Don't forget to add the weight of the container, hardware, and rebar.

So what does everyone use for hardware to mate with the TPH? Specifically the lower bar.

Thanks

I actually used a 3pt drawbar, bolted to the bottom of my weight tub via threaded studs i left protruding a few inches from the bottom of the tub.

If I ever ditch the tub, i just pull 2 nuts and washers off and reclaim my drawbar..
