REAR WHEEL EXTENSIONS

   / REAR WHEEL EXTENSIONS #21
Seems like a lot of $ for extensions. Maybe I need to consider selling the ones I built to fit my Ford 1100 4x4 that has recently been sold. They didn't go with the tractor due to sentimental reasons (I built them). Mine were actually dual wheel adapters, but could be used to extend a single set of wheels also.
Assuming you also are not overlooking anything on factory adjustments, since you have looked into that. A gain of that small also seems a little questionable. Take a closer look at that setup to be sure before you spend the money on the extensions.
Adding extensions will also give you problems when manuevering in tight areas, such as in and around trees.

I figure $500 for the extensions is cheaper than $25,000 laying on its side. I flopped the rear wheels to the wide position the other day. Minimal gain. I'll post pics of before and after wheel extensions when they arrive and I get them on the tractor. I was at a Deere dealer the other day and they had a 3520 with ag tires and it had the wheels that can be adjusted to 6 or 7 different widths.
