As John showed they sure do make them. I've got 600 lbs. of weight on my wheels and it does help quite a bit. Beats the heck out of dragging around a ballast box.

Yup, they got 'em. But, if you (or a friend) has the equipment, you may look at making your own like this.

Thank you John!

Cowboydoc, does the weight seem to make the machine sluggish,do they stickout far from the rim,and are they hard to remove if need be?

CV Hoss,Very cool fabricating job, looks like it works well and didn't cost too much, thanks!

The reason for the question is I'm buying a 110( I believe the wheels are the same as a 4600) and I will be removing the hoe quite often to use a harley rake and the rake definetly doesn't weigh enough to keep the rear on the ground when using the loader,so I'm looking for an alternative to filling the tires,I really appreciate the help and please keep it coming!

I have been looking into the same situation for my 4100. I talked with the local dealer here in Texas and they suggest filling the tires with water and anti freeze for added weight. Well Im working on that in my mind, I have turf tires and considering the movement of water even filled with air in the tire, is this the smart thing to do??/w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif =

More answers?

Tags,
If you put the rim to the inside I have three on each side that line up perfectly with the outside of the tire no problem. As far as power goes you don't even notice the difference with them on. I've never done anything where I ran out of power before I ran out of traction. You won't have any problems with them.

Cowboydoc,
If you put the rim to the inside?Do you mean that the wheels are installed so they are at their widest stance? If that is what you mean then I understand, and the weights should work well for me IF the 110's wheels are the same as a 4600,also how hard is it to install and remove the weights? Thanks for the info!

Chris...

What is going to be your primary use for the JD 110?

It appears to be a substantial machine... I'd fill the rears to get max stability and bh/loader capacity out of it... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

On the 4600 they don't have to be at their widest with the rims to the inside. Mine are because of all the work I do with it. I will tell you it is a pain in the butt to have to take them off and on. I can do it myself but it's a job for sure. You have to line the bolts up and hold that 100 lb. weight up there at the same time. Then you have to get it lined up just right too. But I never mess with my wheel alignment so once it's done it's done.
