Am I crazy? When I went to purchase my tractor I noticed that some tractors seem to have their rear tires mounted close to the frame making them narrower. Others were mounted away from the tractors frame. Does mounting them this way give better stability? I should have asked the dealer.

Hey Paul,

There are many posts on this subject that I've read here. The wider wheel base does add additional stability but at the expense of more stress on the axle. Maybe do a search using axle or wheel for additional information.
