Its called dealer (really in the end, customer) participation, and its far more common than you would think. Most of the really long term 72/84 months rates you see floating around from any vendor more than likely have participation charges.

does kubota purchases include a "participation fee?" ....had one of those when i bought my Exmark mower.

I used the 0 for 84. Cost a $100 doc fee. I paid 18% below suggested price, which seemed fair on a loaded l6060. Just remember it is 20% down and you are required to carry insurance. I was able to get insurance for half of what Kubota financial charges. This is a real benefit to Kubota for those who cannot get insurance elsewhere.

Damage/Replacement to make sure the coleteral on the loan is covered. Same as you'd have on any car loan. No liability insurance requirements like a licensed road vehicle.

Generally people go with Kubota KTAC insurance. It's cheaper & better than most anything else you can find (I looked hard & the best I found was more expensive for a worse coverage). Not to mention KTAC sorts things out more or less automagically if you take it to your dealer for damage.

Looks like they are still offering the 0% for 84 months until September...I was also looking for my own insurance but like mentioned, I couldn't get the insured prices and coverage anywhere near what KTAC offers. So I went with KTAC, not a big deal to me really.
