It's virtually impossible to look at our own lives and the economic activities around us to come up with an accurate description of the big picture. Lot's of good points made here about the property we have earned from our hard work (i.e. computers through which we discuss our $15,000 tractors, $30,000 trucks, and $250,000 homes). Most of us in here are (I am) just plain lucky to be born in the right country to the right family at the right time. I try not to forget that.
Don't get me wrong, here. I believe wholeheartedly in self-motivation, personal initiative, constrcutive behavior, and or course the rewards that brings. If I lost my job today you'd see me at Lowe's shunting lumber with a forklift or explaining which direction a light bulb screws in.
All of the debate about current economic issues aside, we should all remember that priveledge can be revoked by fate in a hurry.
