Yes, There is no more need for a foolish Rollbar. The Cab is the Roll bar. It is a solid steel frame. The Roll bar is completly removed. Yes, it did cost a pretty penny $6600 total shipped and installed. But, I do plan on keeping this machine for quite some time. If I don't, I will get my money back, no question about that. But, Now when I blow snow, I will quit when the job is done.... not when my body is done. In the summer I will be nice and cool too... The job will get done....

"If I may be so bold as to pry into your financial affairs, and ask you what your total costs were, as equipped and installed ?"

I went to the website and configured a hard cab for my 670...
WOW!!!!
$4700!!

Tad rich for my tastes! But, if you spent a lot of time on your tractor...maybe it's worth it.

BTW, $4700 is around 55% of what I paid for my 670...

As far as resale...might get 25 to 50 percent of the original costs of the cab. Darn shame... Same as when one tricks up a car...high initial costs, but you never recoup. Of course, the only one you need to satisfy is yourself...so if you got the cash, why not go for the best.

My thinking exactly.

Thank you for divulging the cost. I really don't find it overly expensive considering, what is it and how nice it is.
Congratulations /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Enjoy it and keep us posted on it's performance.

The way I look at it, it is like having a boat on a dock. Go and spend 25k on a boat, and tow it, you find yourself using it a little bit. Go and spend spend more money and have it kept at a dock, you will use it almost everyday.... But, the machine has been paid for, for quite some time, and getting a cab is still cheaper than if I went out and bought another tractor.. Stop and think about it though? I'm not worried about losing money on the cab, which I won't. But for the little bit that it depreciates, I'll bet you it's worth ten times more than that getting the jobs done and in comfort. No more freezing my butt off removing snow. Considering how much more work will be done with the machine, considering that's why I need tractors around for my home and business's.

Congratulations! That tractor looks like it was born with that cab. What a great job they did on it. John

And that is exactly the attitude to have...

Why do you think a rollbar is foolish ???

Does the cab have air conditioning ?

I really like your cab, that is by far the best looking aftermarket cab I have seen !!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean Rollbars by themselves are foolish. But I've always wanted a cab that didn't have to look like I've pitched a tent around my existing rollbars. I know those cabs serve their purpose, but that isn't what I wanted. I wanted something that not only looked good on the machine, but I wanted something more solid than a steel tent pitched up and around the Rops. Plus, I've got much more room in the cab without the Rops, huge rear window has an unobstructed view, and more shoulder room etc. The good thing is the 4 posts on the tractor now are located at the furthest corners of the cab allowing for room and more cage protection than a simple rollbar style cab would have offered. But as far as Rops being foolish, I didn't mean it like that, I wouldn't operate a tractor without them.

The air conditioning is coming... it's on order. I waited because there is a smaller more productive unit coming this spring.. But the stereo is getting installed this week. Thanks guys for all your compliments. If you have any questions let me know!

VERY nice cab...
I am curious what the air conditioning will add to the cost. Also did the cab make the overall height any more than it was with the rollbar?
