I don't even modify my trucks, sure not going to modify a gun. I've never seen a reason to modify for my use. I'd like to buy a box of 50 hollow points, practice shoot a few, then never shoot a hollow point gain! I will practice a lot with the cheaper bullets though. I only want to be prepared for worse case senario.

I've been watching a heap of various videos on concealed carry guns, hickok45, iraqveteran8888, sootch (is it?), Massad Ayoob (that old boy is a real pro), and have decided very strongly for Glock 43, 9mm. So far, that is. I want to go to a local shooting club today where you can rent and shoot there. That way, I can handle and shoot a few different brands. I'll report back...

That's funny. I was looking at F250s yesterday thinking the same thing. They all had lift kits and big tires.

Hold the Glock 26 as well. It's the double stack version of the 43. A single stack just feels too small to me.

You are very fortunate to have an opportunity nearby to give the ability to try one out before buying.

Not intended to hijack but what's everyone's thoughts about conceal carry insurance where they will defend u if you have to use it?

LOL, I'm going today or tomorrow to get a Hi-Point 9mm. NOT for concealed carry. I held a Glock 43 the other day and it fit my large hand perfectly. Fit better than anything I have ever held. Just can't justify spending that amount for no purpose.

I have had Texas Law Shield since the day I got my CHL. They offer coverage in all 50 states under the name US Law Shield U.S. Law Shield I have never had to use it and pray I never do, but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

...No revolver. Too thick...

I used to think the same thing, until I tried it.

I was amazed. The revolver is actually much easier to conceal because it is rounded, and only the cylinder is thick. It does not print like an autoloader, which is flat sided and uniform in thickness.
