Looking for dealer in Eastern CT/Western NY to purchase a BX24. I'd rather pay more and get good service, as is the advice of many on this very interesting and helpful forum. Is it customary for new equipment to be stored outside at the dealers?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Dale,

I'm guessing you mean Eastern NY/ Wester CT? Anyway, if so I purchased a B7610 in April from Emerich's in Charlton, NY. It's about 30 min from Albany. I have had very good luck with them so far. The reason I went with them was because right off the bat I, a newbie tractor owner, was treated fairly by them... unlike others in the area. They will deliver, although with the distance, at a fee. Service has been great the one time I've had it in. It was back two days later... www.emerichsales.com.
I believe the deal they had at a home/garden show a few months back for the BX24 was $15,900 with BH and FEL but I could be mistaken. I was looking at the BX but decided on the 7610 because of the ground clearance and loader capacity. Was always told to pick a model then jump up to the next size.
Anyway, give them a call, visit their website... I'm sure you'll be happy!
Also, the do store their equipment outside (can you imagine the expense of indoor storage???). But their turnover is so fast that they don't sit out long enough to weather.
Good luck!
Keith

I've purchased 2 Kubota's in the past few years. I shopped Emrich's both times and both times I ended up at Sharon Springs Garage. He now has stores in Troy, Oneonta and Sharon Springs. Dave Handy is the owner, feel free to tell him John Thomas sent you. He's great to work with.

Well, if you really meant Eastern Connecticut. I bought my BX24 from RI Harvesting, which is right over the line from CT to RI on Interstate 95. They were great to me and a pleasure to buy from.

Good luck...
