What I have been reading it seems like fixed adjustment pallet forks are better on a FEL. That being said what brands are recommended?

Does you FEL have the JD skid steer attachment carrier? If yes, then there are a lot of possibilities. If no, then your kind of limited to JD for the most part.
I vastly prefer the fixed over floating tines.

Do you have a view of the MDS forks showing the adjustments possible...or are you saying they are fixed in one fixed position?

Everything Attachments which is now a vender on here sells the Construction Attachment forks. There are some forks made by Horst that have been given good reviews as well.

Here is a picture from the back side. There are 11 notches along the rail which allow you to set the pair of forks in 5 different settings, or you could set a single fork "dead center"

Fixed forks refers to the fact that they are rigidly mounted to the frame. Floating means they will pivot away from the bottom of the frame. Fixed allows down pressure on the tips. Floating is more forgiving when doing pallets on a hard surface.

I have the JD fixed ones. Strong, easy to use, heavy. Same works for 200-500 series FELs.

How many buckets do you have? It might be worth your time to invest in the Skid Steer carrier and go with the SS Forks/Bucket/etc...
Opens up alot of possibilites, especially in pricing....
