The "Combat Lifesavers" I trained looked at me funny when I packed stuff like black electrical tape and tampons (with the plastic dispenser only) in their gear bags....till they found how well the pvc tape will stick thru blood, rain or sweat....and the tampons fit a projectile wound just perfect...swell to control the bleeding....and leave a nice string for the surgeon to follow...

BTW - I made more than one trip to the PX for "Crazy Glue" when the surgeons would run out of the fancy surgical "grade stuff"....same stuff inside the little tubes....

Do what works and **** public opinion!!

The Missus is 60 and is long past needing that product. But I do recall having to do some shopping for her. For me, having to buy just one box was "like unfun."

Oh, I NEVER had any problems....I would locate the loudest "snicker-er", put on my best "war-face" and ask in my "outside voice"....

....if the gray hair, unmarked BDU's and 6' x 250lbs didn't work, then that "O-6" ID card did...

My grandson came to visit a couple of weeks ago. His pickup's front bumper has an air dam below it that hit a curb and was hanging loose. Just to kid him, I told him I could fix it with some duct tape. He said he had already tried superglue. I knew he was one of us after that comment. I put some large flat washers on the bolts so that it overlapped the broken plastic to hold the dam in place on the bottom of the bumper, and he was happy as a clam.:thumbsup:

I agree with your bride. I'm too timid and unimposing to try to pull something like that off. My strategy was to wait around the checkout lines until a matronly cashier had no customers in her lane.

While working on our house project, my BandAid wouldn't stay on so I enhanced it. Worked great.

Can't ever argue with duct tape! Yesterday had the same problem, big blister from digging two post holes in clay (trees too close for PTO auger); band-aid wouldn't stay on. Happened to have white electrical tape on-hand for marking my neutral wire. Secured the band-aid great, & even looked kinda "normal" since it was white! :laughing:

I used to wear a ring but gave that up a few years ago, just in case I got it caught on something.

Like a headboard in a cheap motel??
