HEY! Wait just one darn minute here, evidently some folks don't understand that not everyone that lives in a trailer is a braggart. The people that you are refering to with the old stuff outside are simply bragging to the neighbors about the various items that they have been able to upgrade, after all if you don't put the old outside who would know you had new? And it's cheaper than using all your good wood to make 4-sale signs.
Now I just have to figure out the implications of the facts that I was born in West By God and the handle that I have used for years on the road, I think there is a message or a statement here somewhere .

I had all my "junk" sitting on our property for years, just like that. Then we built the new house on it, and the "junk" (stuff that I'm going to use someday) had to be moved back in the woods, 750 feet from the road. I guess the wife doesn't want me to do my bragging...

Don't forget, WV is a yankee state. They left Virginia and the south during the War of Northern Aggression.

Yep, plus, if you're selling dope, all that junk with price tags is good cover for people coming and going. We have a few of those "yard sales" here in the barrio.

WV is a yankee state to those in the south.. and a southern (dare I say hillbilly) state (at least when we joke about them) here in the north.
I'd say it stinks to be a WV person except its so darn pretty down there, who cares what everyone is saying!!!

I've got all of the above... The only difference is I've got a brand new house, and I'm not in WV anymore!

Heck, we've had an old Preston trailer sitting up at work since they went out of business a few years ago, and I was thinking to myself what a nice tractor shed that would make! (20 ft long, roll up door, etc. Just take the axles and wheels off and you're good to go!)

You can take the hillbilly out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the hillbilly...
