Just a thought. Why don't we all email these guys to show them interest in DPF deletes for the small compacts. They already do agricultural tractors, and their deletes and programs work wonders on big rigs.
Diesel Spec | Engine performance repair & tuning for heavy truck

It would be pretty easy for them to come up with a fix as these small compacts are a lot less complicated than the systems on big trucks.

Update......

We finally had some snow here north of Minneapolis, MN.

Not much, about an inch and a half.

Ran the tractor for about 10 hours. It was warmer than last time, mid 20's ーF so it wasn't brutally cold like last time with wind chills in the -20ーF range.

It didn't do a regen, I'm assuming since they rebuilt the regen system, it's all new.

We did have a hard time getting the tractor to start before, but there was a glow plug relay that had been replaced, and that seemed to fix our issue.

I own a B3350. I also own a Kubota M6040, I've had a Kubota L4330.

We do property maintenance. Mowing, landscaping in the summer, snow removal in the winter.

My B3350 has about 200 hours on it, new in June of '14.

In the summer, there were multiple times we would have to do a parked regen while doing work at townhomes. We received many complaints about leaving the tractor at WOT while doing something else for 20-30 minutes at a time.

The tractor regens about every 10 engine hours. Some of that is operator error, as running diesel equipment / trucks for 20 years, when I get out of the tractor to set a wall or plant bushes, I'm used to leaving the tractor idle. Now I need to shut it down.

We bought the machine to replace a Kubota RTV that we were using for plowing sidewalks for the local school district. About 2 weeks ago we had a snowfall and in the middle of the snow, the tractor needed to do another parked regen. The operator had a horrendous time getting the tractor warm enough to perform the regen.

He finally wedged it against the school, in a corner by the loading dock and blocked the wind off with a truck to get the regen to perform. It was about -10, -25 windchill

I personally used the tractor the following day to plow a firelane around the back of a different school. I had to do 5 parked regens, 2 auto regens and the tractor was still tripping the alarm.

The tractor is currently at the dealer, they have ordered in an entire new regen system. I will try it one more time, and if it doesn't perform, will be contacting Kubota to buy this tractor back. It's not use able in this state.

Yes, it has the software update done, which seems to have made the regens worse.

As a new member to TBN, that was one response I had when looking at the B2920 and asking for feed back. Get it before they put DPF on that size. Well I never checked if they did or didn't put it on this years model but after reading some of the problems people are having I am glad that I will have missed that program.
As I read the comments it could be a good idea but more useful to those people running the unit under a heavy load when being used. Not a great idea for those doing light work. Not working it hard enough all the time would make it regen more times.
Good luck to those that have the DPF units. I think it will be a hard road being on the manufactures learning curve.

The price of used tractors will probably go up.:(

Yup, Found that out when I was shopping for a tractor. Decided to go for it and buy a new one, so far so good 17 hours and no regens. Love the tractor so far.

I was going to trade in for a higher powered tractor this summer. From what I am hearing here, I think I'll wait another year and see how all this pans out.

You will probably see the addition of DEF even on the smaller tractors in the future. For the most part I think it turned out to be a benefit over just adding fuel for the regen cycle on diesel pick-ups. Your not going to see any of the tractors going away from this kind of setup. There might be some refinements in the future and maybe cleaning up some of the bugs that some of the tractors may have, but it's not going away. I don't think there is a lot to loose sleep over, just be aware of the fact that it has a DPF system and it needs to be operated just a little different.

Very large Kubota dealer told us last week DEF is coming to the Grand L series within 2 years. Many of the M series, 80hp and up, will be getting it within a year. He said he's been told it will add about 15-20% of the cost of the tractor. He said all this Tier 4 stuff is starting to hurt sales.

Tier 4 final is just that - final for Grand L until the next generation comes along. New regs are under development in Europe and will probably start around 2019 at the earliest. Companies are pushing for the US to have similar standards and implementation dates just like in the past in order for them to be able to build one model for all developed countries. DEF for larger M series this year, over 75 HP, when Tier 4 final is in place for them. It is not a greatly significant adder for them because those tractors already got the DPF with interim Tier 4. There is some wiggle room allowed. If a company builds with engines cleaner than required, they can continue to produce polluters for a certain time frame.

using the tractor at lower rpm's causes more lugging, running these newer machines at higher rpm's they will regen less and use less fuel in the end. I always end up having a regen on my 9960 after 5-6 hours raking hay at about 6 -7 mph in a high gear (low rpm) versus running it a day and a half pulling a 14' disc, in a lower gear at higher rpms to go around 6 mph, before it regens. These are made to run harder, do it and you will have less problems.
