Hi Guys,
I have tried the Battery powered Saws All. It did not last through 1, 2" branch. Granted it was an older model with Ni-Cad batteries. Maybe a newer 1 with Lithium Ion batts would be a lot better. But 1 lithium-ion batt costs as much as this little saw, more in most cases, Then you still need to buy the saw.

If the little 8"er is 1/2 as good as claimed it will be fine. If not any good it will be returned.

I found Remington Electric saws to be quite junky. Not sure if the cordless versions would be higher quality. I finally found a Stihl electric, that I always wanted at an auction. Just to have handy in the wood shed. Have not used it enough to see if it is worth anything!

The little guy came today. Pretty fast for cheap UPS ground.
First impression - This guy is neat - Looks really well made.
Next Darn it's a lot heavier than expected, even without battery.
Very impressive owners book. Deals mostly on safety, not 1 mention of battery & Charging or a parts break down. Does have phone & net link to Mfg.
Chain is a skip tooth, anti kick back. Chain oiling is manual & says it should be done every 5 minutes of operation, a small squirt bottle is included & snaps onto chain guard.

Quick test of performance.
1.5" mesquite green - whipped right through it, even though it sounds like the chain is moving slow.
3" Dead & dry mesquite - Again whipped right thorough it.
Next cut started fine, then bang it's done.

It had charged for 1.5 hours -pretty much tells me its not a "Quick" charger. Will let it charge over night & work it some more tomorrow.

It can be used as part of a pole saw - motor with handle unplugs from saw, pole plugs in to saw - motor plugs into pole.

Plan to get extra Batt & chain. If anyone is interested I'll take some pictures.

Gave the little guy a pretty good work out today.

Quite a few green branches up to about 2". Then several dry mesquite limbs up to about 3".

Loaded the girls up & went to a dry lake by the mail boxes. While they ran & explored, I went to sawing.
Mostly 4 to 6" dry hard mesquite. A few green limbs in the way were also cut.
The big mesquite was a good load for the little guy. It lasted a little over 1/2 hour. ( might have done a little better had I remembered to lube the chain more than once.)
It also had about 20 minutes in the yard.
Whips right through the green stuff.
Not quite so good on the dry hard mesquite, especially the bigger stuff. One good thing, after it rests a few minutes it will saw a little more.

All & All I'm pretty happy with the little guy. Do want to get an extra battery though. Maybe 2 of them???
