Guys,

I am upgrading my rear blade with a set of hydraulic cylinders to allow adjustment on the fly.
Pretty simple task since the blade manufacturer already added fittings to mount the cylinders.
I just added the cylinders and plumbed it all up.

This brings up a question about couplers. I went to the NH dealer and bought two of the "official" nipples to plug into my remotes. Mainly becuase I wanted to make sure that I got the right part without three trips to town.
Went home and plumbed up the first axis on the blade and then set about figuring out the lines that run the existing loader. I plug the blade cylinder into the set of remotes that run the bucket tilt. That way I don't have to disconnect the loader.
Turns out the dealer used the cheap-O pioneer ISO nipples like they sell at tractor supply./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
They also used teflon tape which is a bad idea on hydraulics.

I won't publicly admit how much more they charged me for the two I bought, but that will be the last two. The NH set are the low leak popet valve. Usually these guys do a good job.

But I wondered if all new tractors use the same ISO coupler?
Here is a picture of the standard ISO coupler.

They come with a standard ball valve or a poppet valve. Older tractors had a vareity of conections.

Some are made for make/break under pressure.
Anyone setup with these?

I had an 1996 L2900 Kubota and the male couplers
worked on a loaner Bobcat SSL and my
NH TC35D.
Also worked on the used Woods 9000 hoe
that came off older 2000 or 3000 Ford tractor.
When Farm & Fleet went out I bought 6 sets
of quik-couplers at 60% off.
Seems nobody saw or wanted them :)
I don't know which Deere uses.

Fred,

I built a forklift attachment (with mast, lift cylinder, etc., NOT bucket forks) for my L3010. I tied into the loader hydraulics with diverter valves and share the boom lift circuit. My forklift cylinder is then operated off the loader SCV. As such I had to get some quick disconnects the same as the original loader valves. I checked what they were and then went here (MSC). Kubota uses the 72 series, 3/8", the ones I bought are identical, including manufacturer. I bought some teflon pipe dope for the connections from ace hardware. I don't recommend the stuff. Loctite makes a good hydraulic thread sealant, Loctite 545. It comes highly recommended from a guy using 5,000 psi hydraulics.

Hazmat,

Nah, I haven't got around to that yet. Tomorrow, tomorrow. Just haven't taken the time. Been busy using it and pounding nails on the new garage. Well, actually pulling trigger. Nail guns are a wonderful invention. I'll try and get a few in the withering daylight when I get home.

Nick,

May I ask what you used for diverter valves? I am looking for some that can be activated by 12V rather than pulling a lever.

Can you give me any more info on the diverter valves.
I purchased a spring loaded one for home position & electric solenoid for optiional position & tied it into my fel tilt circuit with a button on my joy stick. It worked, but somehow would not hold full pressure on my grapple. They ordered another one & it was the same way. They are now trying to get me to take another brand which has double solenoids & one would have to remain energized for the tilt to work on the loader. I do not think I should do this.
I do not know the brand name of the valve I have but M# is MS06-UDNA-01-12B
