Hydraulic Motor off Rear Remotes

OP, something like this?

Over here is very common to mount these on the brush cutters. These strimmers are either spring loaded or hydraulically actuated with a finger that retracts the head once a tree or post pushes the finger.

That motor appears to have a case drain. They have apparently from what I see plumbed it into the return line and drastically over sized the return line at the 90 degree fitting. If that oversized return line went straight to sump and therefore pressures were low it would work. It would have to be set up to not be able to run in reverse

I've encountered a few orchard and fence mowers above with a rotating disc bumper that barely covers the blade. I haven't used one yet, but they look like a good idea.

Or if your tractor has good quality valves for the remotes that have a float function a very good method of running hydraulic motors is to use the float function to stop the rotation it will allow the hydraulic motor to coast down.

Interesting however I don’t think the factory TC45DA rear valve has a float position as is spring centered. However, I have not installed the valve yet.

I know mine loader valve has on the boom lift circuit has a float position.
