Remove 3-Point Hitch Links on BX2660?

I would like to take the upper and lower links off when I mow, and when I pull a wagon with the BX2660. The upper link comes off easy as pie.

Is there any way to take the lower links off quickly? I can remove the center plate that the turnbuckles attach to, but then the lower links just slide left and right on the rod between the frame sides. Is there some way to get the rod out without removing the heavy bolts and flanges on the left and right frame sides?

There are bushings in the frame where that rod rests. Those bushings have a flat spot on one side. Slide the bushings on to the rod, then slide the rod to one side. Then pull the other side of the rod towards you, and slide the rod and lower links out.
