This is the 2nd Kubota video by my 11 year old son showing how to remove the backhoe. He had never done this before and the first time the backhoe had been removed!

Always scares me to see kids around equipment. Stuff happens in the blink of an eye and appendages disappear just as quickly. I saw a guy grab a lever and pull it and get crushed between the boom and the tractor. Died right there and he was found later by a friend. When you work on a fire department medic unit you get to see lots of bad stuff that sticks with you.

He did a good job never the less. I am glad you were supervising this.

This was a raw, unrehearsed, first take, so I'm hoping people learn from some of the mistakes made and see what happens in real life. The videos by professionals are always appreciated but they make it look so easy!

When I bought my used B26, prior to loading it on my trailer, the owner showed me how to take off the backhoe. It took less than 5 minutes to take it loose, then hook it back up. That is the only time the backhoe has been off it since I bought it. It is good to have a second tractor for any 3 PH work but if I needed to use the 3 PH on the B26, it would take longer to put the lift arms on than to unhook the backhoe.
