Thanks for the pics, I have no metal skills or tools so my version will have to be made out of wood. I liked your idea of raised arms to help in positioning, I'll try to incorporate something like that.

Call the dealer you purchased the tractor from and see if they will demo the process. Or maybe you can visit them and they could demo it on one there. When my l3130 w bh90 was delivered he actually removed it and re installed it so I could see the process. Its not hard once you do it a couple time. Do it on a concrete surface that is level good luck and congrats.

Good luck with the dolly,it is not a necessity but certainly makes the job easier.

nice setup! could you post the measurements of that dolly? length, and the width of each end. One end must be roughly the bucket width. I have a bh77 and that dolly looks like it makes life a whole lot easier. Because the hoe won't be on all the time in my case. That makes storage easy in the garage. Thanks

Used to be that every time I went to re-mount my BH I'd decide that I was gonna' have a pair of 'jumper' hoses made up, but I never got around to it and now I leave the thing parked in my barn unless I have a specific need to use it. The brushhog stays on the tractor most of the time.

After I bought it I loved playing with the BH even to the point that I dug six big holes to bury stuff for future archeologists to find: two old toilets in one, a broken down washing machine in another....like that. My place is a real treasure trove now. :D

But the fun wore off, especially the "fun" of mounting and dismounting stuff on the tractor.

When re-attaching the BH77, watch carefully that you don't accidentally pinch the hoses! The first time I did it I luckily noticed that I was just about to squeeze one of the hoses between the BH and the tractor... if that had happened, it would have been impossible to move anything without the hydraulics!

Not quite ready to reinstall yet, still using other attachments but will keep your advice in mind when the time comes.

Just took some measurements of the dolly. It is 68" overall,30" across the wide end,and 12" across the narrow end.On the narrow end it is 7" off the floor to the top of the square tubing, the back is 9" off the floor.Originally I made this dolly for a BX25 but I traded it on the L3240 and had to modify the dolly. This is why the dolly is the way it is,if I made it from scratch I would probably make the sides one continuous taper rather than the way it is.Also the narrow end could be wider, you can see in the previous pictures that the guides for the bucket are slightly offset. This was to allow the bosses to clear the inside of the dolly as they are thicker on one side.I would not have run into this problem with a wider dolly. It also doesn't need to be higher at one end but that is how it worked out.If I did it again,I would use bigger casters as the 4" are close to their weight limit.Like I said there are different ways to make a dolly but this one does work quite well after the bugs were worked out.Hope this helps and good luck on making yours:thumbsup:

Finished up w/ attachments and it was time to tackle putting the BH back on for the first time. Hardest part was lining up the pins w/ the hooks. Good tip about watching out for pinching the hoses while reattaching. I can see where that could happen. Once you have the concept and the order straight in your head not too bad of a process. Wouldn't want to do it everyday, but it's workable.
