I agree. There is no excuse for driving too fast on slick roads.How many idiots can't slow down when the visibility gets poor and traction is limited.
This wreck happened on I-81, not far from here. When this squall passed over, it went from a sunny day to a complete whiteout almost instantly. The drivers they interviewed at the scene said the road was clear and dry. They never saw it coming.
It could have been much worse and they're lucky only 3 were killed with 24 injured. It's now 24 hours since the wreck happened and I-81 north is still closed.
Still, many drive too fast and tailgate which can lead to a wreck like this under any conditions.
