removing the MMM

Can you drive over any of the MMM made by K?
I have a 7500 with a 60" MMM.

You can drive over anything, but you might damage it. I don't think that it would be a wise thing to do. My old Bolens HT20 had a mower deck that you drove over to install, but it wasn't that easy to get over it and the Bolens weighed a lot less. I believe that the anti scalp wheels on the Kubota deck would just break apart if you tried to drive over the deck.

I have never drove over mine.....I know when my granddad was alive he did (I think his was a b7500 but not sure now) I said something to him about it and he said "I am to @#$% old to pull on that thing" He also had a boat trailer wench on the back and a pulley on the top of his ROP he would hook the cable to the deck and pick it up like that to change the blades

seems like a perfect project for you would be paving your shed floor /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

The BX does not need to be raised to remove the MMM like the 7500,7510, 2410 and 7610. Yeah, with some effort I can get the deck out without raising the tractor if I hold my mouth just right and pray to the saints but with the FEL to lift it or a piece of lumber under the wheels it is a snap.
Oh, Henro, I got a nice SMOOTH concrete floor in both the garage and the shed and a SMOOTH concrete pad in front of the garage as well. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Sure makes things nice. Yeah, working on my junky Kubota lawnmower on that nice smooth concrete sure is nice. J

If you drive over your MMM on your 7500 you will be needing a new mower /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif probably sooner than later. J

Saw it with my own eyes. almost sure it was a 7500. an 84 year old guy with enough money to replace it if he needs to does not care. He also had ditch witch tires on the front to "climb that darn hill"
I saw that old man put that tractor some places I would never try but he did it..
To clean the mower deck he would drive into the edge of the pond and let the mower run in the water until green stoped comming out, drive it back to the barn a spray it down with diesel fuel to keep it from rusting

When I want to attach or disattach the MMM, I take the cars out of the garage so that I have a nice smooth slab on which to work. I leave the BX2200 in neutral. As the MMM rolls away from or toward the tractor I do have to slightly change the angle of the MMM by "dragging" an inch or 2 but it isn't very difficult on the smooth finished concrete. I take care of most of the misalignment by just pushing a little on the ROPS to move the tractor forward or backward. I go back & forth in small steps of rolling the MMM or the tractor, but all in all it's not a lot of physical effort. The tractor does not have to be lifted at all. I also take the cars out when I'm ready to wheel an implement on a dolly over to the 3ph. After attaching or disattaching anything, the implement rolls to a storage corner and back in come the cars.

Physics is amazing. The guy who invented the wheel & the guy who invented concrete ought to be be more famous than they are. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think I have read somewhere that the larger Kubota's like the B models have a drive over deck. I don't know for sure which model it is, but I know I read it somewhere.

The Old 18 HP Gravley my family owned (Profesional G Series) had a drive over deck that had real ball bearing deck wheels /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif and it was a excellent mower deck design and super easy to remove/install. I wish the BX deck could be backed over like that.

Yes - supposedly the 72" MMM is built to be driven over however the dealer I'm getting my B2910 from says he doesn't recommend it as it couldn't be doing it any good.

I'm with Henro. While the BX MMM will easily roll out...it really only does so on concrete or asphalt, neither of which are on my drive. So it ends up being a combination of "roll" and "drag". Lifting the front of the tractor with the FEL just gives a little more elbow room for the process. It's not necessary, but since my dealers tech showed me that little trick, I haven't deviated from it! That MMM is heavy and a couple of extra inches of clearance are quite welcome!
